Our Mission

The R&D Impact Foundation seeks to ignite curiosity, forge connections and create opportunities for exploration in STEM for young people in under-resourced communities. 

Founded in 2021 by Thomas Roberts, MD and Susan DaSilva, DNP, the Foundation is rooted in their shared belief in the transformative power of science. With decades of experience in developing new ideas in the medical field, Tom and Susan launched the Foundation to support young people interested in STEM pathways and to encourage innovative, science-driven approaches to community challenges that foster opportunity, hope, and wellness.
